Reflection

A shadow program conducted at CINEC

Session 1

I took the initiatives to conduct a training program to CINEC staff summarizing the learning from the CPTMHE. I had two objectives in this project. Firstly, to make some contribution to CINEC through the learning from the CPTMHE and secondly for me to reach the highest gain by reaching the last stage of the Blooms Taxonomy.

Session 2

Session 3

Session 4

A staff development program was organized  by HR department on the instruction of Vice President to fill the training gap in the FoMHSS and FoET that was identified by MoHE. VP decided to have it inhouse in order to avoid additional burden on those who currently follow  Postgraduate programs.

Below is the message sent to staff by the HR Dept.

I have added some of the presentations for easy reference.

Subject: Staff Development Programme – Certificate in Teaching Methodology in Higher Education

Dear Deans/ HoDs

It is a pleasure in informing you that the management of CINEC has nominated five senior academic staff members for the Staff Development Programme of the “Certificate in Teaching Methodology in Higher Education” organized by Internal Quality Assurance Unit of SLIIT which was commenced on 3rd August 2018 and planning to send more academics for the said programme in future.

In order to get the immediate benefit of the investment, an inhouse training programme has been organized  to share the learning outcomes of the above programme, among the rest of the academics.  This  will be conducted by the five senior lecturers who are currently undergoing this training programme and sessions will be scheduled from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. on every other Thursday with effect from 23rd August 2018 at Language Centre.

There will be ten sessions as follows;

August : 23rd

September : 6th & 20th

October : 4th & 18th

November : 1st , 15th & 29th

December : 13th & 27th

I would like to remind you all that attending regular teacher training program is  compulsory for all the lecturers and there is a necessity of  acquiring that qualification  before the next UGC audit.

The certificates will be issued at the successful completion of the programme and attendance will be monitored.

Request Deans and HoDs to release their respective academic staff as per the schedule please.

Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.

Our effort is for your development!
